Expedia buys into meta-search Expedia has made two investments in meta-search in as many weeks, buying into Room 77 as well as taking a majority stake in Trivago. The acquisitions came shortly after Priceline acquired Kayak, suggesting that, although meta-search is no favourite of the consumer, it is popular with the online travel agents.
